About me

Designer, Engineer, Researcher, Communicator, and Inbetweener

I define myself as a designer, an engineer, a researcher, a communicator, and an inbetweener. I hold a degree in Industrial Design Engineering, a Masters in Design and Communication, and a PhD in Science Communication.

My experience includes product design and development, engineering, graphic design, visual identity projects, communication strategies development, co-creation workshops facilitation, and the application of design thinking participatory methodologies to science communication events.

I am currently working at Science for Change, where I apply my creativity, enthusiasm and knowledge by applying co-creation, co-design and design thinking techniques to the company’s projects in a transversal way. I also performs tasks related to corporate and visual identity, strategy, data visualisation and communication.

Inbetweener

I call myself an inbetweener, since I always work on issues in collaboration with citizens, policy makers, scientists, students, designers, and businesspeople. In these collaborations I position myself as a facilitator between an issue and the people connected to it. Observing, communicating, and designing participatory sessions to structure meaningful conversations are key methods in my way of working.

I use to organise workshops for which I design my own tools to foster engagement and find solutions for real needs, problems, or challenges. I believe it is in engagement and dialogue where we can formulate shared values and collectively shape our future society on a local level towards more inclusive neighbourhoods, organisations, and communities.

Skills

I am able to work with minimum supervision as well as part of a team and I have the ability to present and organise large amounts of information in a clear manner. I am sensitive to the needs of others and I love challenges and problem-solving.

I am good at communicating complex ideas effectively in a range of formats and I have the ability to interact with colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds to successfully work towards common goals.
